Le Memento est le programme officiel de grade de Mukyu à Shodan au bujinkan France. Les professeurs et même les élèves ne savent souvent pas exactement où ils en sont dans leur progression; Ce premier volume couvre le niveau débutant du 9° kyû au 7° kyû; Deux autres volumes (prochainement) couvrent les techniques des 6° kyû 5° kyû 4 kyû et 3° kyû 2° kyû 1° kyû. L'ensemble de ces trois volumes annule et remplace l'ancien mémento quui a l'occasion a été légèrement revu.
Chaque kyû traité dans le volume se présente en plusieurs parties : une prtie histoire du japon et de bujinkan avec les questions d'examen ; une partie vocabulaire comprenant les noms de toutes les techniques du grade présenté et qui sert de support à la partie vocabulaire japonais de l'examen ; et enfin une partie "technique" listant toutes les techniques à présenter pour l'examen.
Chaque technique est suivi de 5 colonnes "S.U.P.E.R." : 3 colonnes (S.U.P.) à remplir par l'élève et 2 colonnes (E.R.) à remplir par l'examinateur. L'élève met une croix dans chaque colonne : "S" quand la technique & été vue en cours ; "U" quanbd la technique est comprise ; et "P" quand il pense pouvoir la reproduire à la demande. Les deux autres colonnes concernent la partie examen : "E" pour examen ; et "R" pour les révisions en cas d'échec à une technique.
Le mémento est un outil pédagogique fantastique qui permet de mener chaque élève jusqu'à la ceinture noire et à la connaissance des techniques de taijutsu du tenchijin et à l'apprentissage des armes majeures du bujinkan.

Together with the Sanshin no Kata based upon the Gogyô (5 elements) the Kihon Happô is one of most important set of movements of the Bujinkan fighting system.
This new edition of the book by Arnaud Cousergue is dedicated to the beginners willing to understand the spirit of the Kihon Happô. The book details the eight forms and principles of the Kihon Happô with a new pedagogical approach. Each technique of the Sanpô no Kata is cut down into 5 steps; and each technique of the Gohô no Kata is cut down into 8 steps. This step-by-step approach makes it easy for the beginner to get into the basic forms of the Kihon Happô. At the end of the book are given the original techniques demonstrated by Hatsumi Sensei in his first major book: "Togakure Ryû Ninpô Taijutsu" as well as the written techniques from the 1987 version of the Ten Chi Jin Ryaku no Maki. We have aldo included the explanation of some of the Kihon Happô by Takamatsu Sensei from the last DVD. As well as the Kihon Happô structure in Hatsumi Sensei's book: "the way of the Ninja".
Even if this book is primarily dedicated to the beginners, it will help the black belts and the teachers who will be able to compare the forms of these movements trhough time.
The theme for 2011 being "kihon happô" we have added a new introduction to the book.
A video and data cd is included with this book. The movements are detailed in a 20 minutes film. Some extra files are included: the pictures of the book, a pdf file with the text, and all the pictures from the book.

Ten Chi Jin Ryaku No Maki - The principles of heaven, earth and man
This is with this program that back in 1987, we began to learn the famous Ten Chi Jin Ryaku no Maki, created by Hatsumi Sensei in 1983. This first book by Hatsumi Sensei has been only published in Japanese and is now sold out. It was the first attempt to coordinate the different approaches from the nine schools.
If you have a copy of this book which title was "Togakure Ryû Ninpô Taijutsu", you will see a few differences with the one you are reading now. In fact, this Bujinkan Dôjô Shinden Kihon Kata is much more logical than the original book.
This book is nearly the exact copy of this document that was sent from Japan. I have modified a few details to ease the reading. This is the reason I believe that some teachers do not use the same terminology or the same techniques.
The Ten Ryaku no Maki deals with training the body, and developing proper footwork. Therefore, the sets of movements such as the Sanshin no Kata and the Kihon Happô Gata are practiced only to gain a good balance while moving and to develop your footwork abilities. You can see the Ten as a vertical line. The Chi Ryaku no Maki is concerned on how to deal with the opponent when he is kicking, using his fists, grabbing, or in close contact. The Chi will give the basic moves to do to get rid of him: Hajutsu Kyû Hô or Aite to Kumu Kokoro Gamae which is how to stop/deal with the attacker; the Gyaku Waza, the Nage Waza and Ryû Sui Iki, the Torite Waza, and the Shime Waza. You can see the Chi as a vertical line. Then comes the Jin with many techniques taken from the nine schools. This is a mix of both the footwork and the techniques; the flow and the fight. This is the point where the two lines are crossing each other. You can see the Jin as the centre of the cross designed by the two lines of the Ten and of the Chi.
