This is the first book in English to uncover the roots, techniques and principles of this ancient art dating back to the XIIth century. It has been directled handed down by the last Soke Takeda Tokimune and his most faithful and competent students. Daito Ryu is the most popular traditional Japanese martial art at the roots of many famous Jujutsu Ryu and martial art disicplines: Aikido, Yoseikan Budo, Hakko Ryu, Hapkido, Shorinji Kempo. This book was written by Antonino Certa, one of the very few westerner who have ever studied for a consistent time with the Soke. The book gives a technical and historical approach on both the Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu and the Ono-ha Itto Ryu Kenjutsu, the japanese fencing school transmitted in a parallel way to the Daito Ryu since the XVIIth century.
