This is the reprinting of the notes we received in English from Japan back in 1987.
Dive into the Bujinkan history!

Original Ten Chi Jin Ryaku no Maki
the '87 edition

In 1987, the high ranks received a set of pages in English written on a typing machine. This is the first English version of the Togakure Ryû ninpô Taijutsu book published by Sôke in 1983.
After four years of teaching the Togakure, the set of techniques displayed in the Togakure book gave birth to a newer version of the basic program. This is the book you see here.

At that time I was a young black belt practitioner and I began to train exclusively with this manual. From 1987 to 1990, in the dôjô, we were following this set of techniques. I discovered the schools and the weapons only in 1990!

The technical level I have achieved is coming from this one and only book that gave me strong basics; for years I wanted to reprint this Original Ten Chi Jin but kept postponing the decision.
With the theme of 2008 being dedicated to Ninpô I thought it was about time to reprint it.

The book is based upon the famous Ten - Chi - Jin structure which the foundation of the Bujinkan system.

By experiencing the techniques detailed in this book you will better dramatically your basic movements and learn how to deepen your understanding of the Bujinkan Ryûha.

The Ten  Ryaku no Maki dwells with the footwork and teaches you how to get close to the attacker.

The Chi Ryaku no Maki dwells with the action to take when in contact

The Jin Ryaku no Maki mixes both Ten and Chi by training various techniques from the 9 schools to illustrate all the principles studied.

Once again remember that this program has given me the technical level I have today.

Have fun!
